Child, sex abuse in Ireland is growing exponentially.
Anna Kavanagh Convenor, Alliance of Birthmothers Campaigning for Justice and Dr. Finbar Markey who has worked in the care system shine a spotlight on how Tusla, the Family Law Courts and the Gardai work together to cover up paedophelia across the Irish Republic.
Out of 160 TDs in the Dáil, only 3 are attempting to expose what’s happening, Bernard Durkan, Peadar Tóibín and Mattie McGrath.
Kitty Holland, Social Affairs Correspondent, Irish Times, is the only mainstream journalist to date to report on mothers losing custody of their children after they reported sex abuse.
The Alliance of Birthmothers Campaigning for Justice (ABC) established in June 2019 with the support of then Fianna Fáil spokesperson on Children, Deputy Anne Rabbitte advocates on behalf of Birthmothers whose children have been taken into care.
Unlike other NGO’s advocating on behalf of women, ABC is not Tusla funded. This means that it’s a truly independent voice for Birthmothers.
Perhaps this explains the reason why the Dáil’s Committee on Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth chaired by Sinn Féin’s Kathleen Funchion TD has denied all requests by ABC since 2020 to appear before the committee and be a voice for the children across Ireland who are currently being sexually abused with no apparent hope of escape.
it will take massive national outrage to shift this culture of child sex abuse. You have a role to play in making more people aware of what’s happening by sharing this information.
We make allowances for past generations because many did not know about the state abuse of mothers and children. This generation will not be forgiven if they choose to do nothing having been made aware of the abuse.
