Demonstration in Cork City in support of Library workers who claim they are threatened by Anti-LGBT+ literature campaigners

A demonstration has taken place in Cork City in support of Library workers who claim they are threatened by Anti-LGBT+ literature campaigners.

Fórsa, a Trade Union representing over 80,000 workers, organised the demonstration held yesterday (Friday). Fórsa represents administrative, clerical and professional workers in the civil service, education and health sectors.

Cork in particular has seen several demonstrations by campaigners who object to LGBT+ literature in public libraries. It is claimed certain books have been removed or damaged by the campaigners.

The focal point for such protests against LGBT+ literature appears to be the City library on Grand Parade, Cork City.

Several hundred demonstrators attended the Fórsa organised rally yesterday in Cork in Support of library workers who say they feel intimidated by the Anti-LGBT+ literature protests over the last number of months. See video below.
